    Cosmetic dentistry

Are you looking for a way to improve the appearance of your smile? If you’re not happy with the color, shape, or alignment of your teeth, modern cosmetic dentistry has the solutions. At Focus Clinic, we design your new smile using the Focus Smile Design® system and tailor it to the shape of your face.

Cosmetic Dentistry – Solutions for Your Smile

If a patient is unhappy with the appearance, shape, or color of their teeth, modern cosmetic dentistry offers solutions to these problems. The modern cosmetic treatments available at Focus Clinic, based on the Focus Smile Design® digital smile design system, allow us to tailor new teeth to the patient’s appearance, lip color, facial contours, and expectations. We offer patients a variety of treatment methods to achieve the desired tooth color, shape, length, and functionality, including veneers, Enamel HRi aesthetic fillings, bonding, ICON infiltration, and teeth whitening. Cosmetic dentistry at Focus Clinic is much more than a single procedure. It is a process that begins with a discussion of your expectations, an analysis of your facial proportions and natural features, and culminates in a smile design that reflects your personality rather than an artificial standard. We work as a team, which means that in cases requiring a comprehensive approach, your treatment is planned jointly by doctors from various specialties, and the final prosthetic work (veneers, crowns) is performed in our own Perfect Lab. Cosmetic dentistry addresses a wide range of needs: from minor corrections to a single tooth (bonding to repair chips), to comprehensive smile makeovers (porcelain veneers, Digital Smile Design), to procedures that complete other dental treatments (whitening after orthodontic treatment, improving the aesthetics of old fillings). In every case, we prioritize minimally invasive methods that preserve as much of the natural tooth structure as possible.

Cosmetic Dentistry Methods at Focus Clinic

At Focus Clinic, we offer a full range of modern cosmetic dentistry methods, tailored to your individual needs following an analysis of your teeth and your vision for your ideal smile. We begin every cosmetic treatment with a digital Focus Smile Design, in which we analyze facial proportions, the smile line, and lip color, and then design new teeth so that they harmoniously blend with your natural appearance. You see the predicted result before we begin work. Porcelain veneers are the most advanced method for a comprehensive smile makeover. These are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth, which simultaneously correct their color, shape, length, and minor alignment. We create veneers using no-prep and minimal-prep techniques (with minimal or no grinding of natural enamel), which allows us to preserve as much of the tooth’s natural structure as possible. The design is created in collaboration between the dentist, a Perfect Lab technician, and the patient, taking into account a functional analysis of the bite. Cosmetic bonding is the restoration of a tooth with composite material, which allows for the correction of shape, length, minor chips, or slight misalignment of the teeth. It is a faster and more affordable method than veneers, fully reversible, and does not require tooth grinding. At Focus Clinic, we use advanced nanocomposite application techniques, including flow injection and bonding in shade A01, which allow us to achieve a highly aesthetic final result. Teeth whitening is the fastest At Focus Clinic, we use advanced nanocomposite application techniques, including flow injection and bonding in shade A01, to achieve a highly aesthetic final result. Teeth whitening is the fastest method for improving tooth color, performed in the office (using whitening accelerators) or at home using custom trays. We also recommend whitening as a preparatory step before veneers or bonding to ensure the entire smile has a uniform, bright color. ICON infiltration is an innovative method for removing white spots on enamel (hypoplastic lesions, stains from orthodontic braces, early-stage caries) without the need for tooth grinding. The procedure involves penetrating a special resin deep into the enamel and filling the micro-spaces, making the white spot invisible while leaving the tooth surface intact. Enamel HRi aesthetic fillings are highly aesthetic composites for restoring cavities that visually mimic natural enamel. We use them to replace old, discolored fillings and for restorations in the aesthetic zone (front teeth), where perfectly replicating the natural translucency of enamel is crucial.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about treatment at Focus Clinic, your first visit, available services, and the course of dental care.

    What does cosmetic dentistry involve?

Cosmetic dentistry is a branch of dentistry that focuses on procedures designed to improve the appearance of teeth and smiles. The most common indications include: dissatisfaction with tooth color, irregular tooth shape or length, minor crowding or gaps between teeth, white spots on the enamel, old discolored fillings, chipped tooth edges, and the desire for a comprehensive smile makeover. Cosmetic dentistry focuses on a minimally invasive approach that preserves natural tooth structure to the greatest extent possible.

    Who is aesthetic treatment for?

Cosmetic dentistry is for anyone who wants to improve the appearance of their smile, regardless of age. It is ideal for people who are dissatisfied with the color or shape of their teeth, patients who have undergone orthodontic treatment (and want to refine the final result), those who have suffered dental injuries, as well as patients preparing for an important life or professional event. We offer both minor corrections (bonding of a single tooth) and complete smile makeovers using veneers.

    What is Focus Smile Design®?

Focus Smile Design is a proprietary digital smile design standard used at Focus Clinic. As part of the procedure, we take photographs, perform an intraoral scan, and analyze the proportions of your face and facial features. We then digitally design your new teeth so that their color, shape, and length harmoniously complement your face, lip color, and personal style. You can see the predicted final result even before treatment begins, allowing us to discuss the details together and refine the design.

What is the difference between veneers and bonding?

Veneers are thin ceramic shells made in a laboratory and bonded to the front surface of the teeth. Bonding involves restoring a tooth with composite material directly in the dentist’s office. Veneers are more durable (lasting 10 to 20 years), more aesthetically pleasing, and better suited for comprehensive smile makeovers. Bonding is faster (usually one visit), less expensive, fully reversible, and ideal for minor corrections to individual teeth. We discuss the choice of method individually during the treatment planning stage.

    Do veneers require tooth preparation?

At Focus Clinic, we often use no-prep and minimal-prep techniques for veneers, which means no grinding or only minimal grinding of the tooth surface. This approach aligns with the philosophy of minimal invasiveness (the “less is more” principle), which allows us to preserve as much of the natural enamel as possible. This method is made possible by modern ceramic materials that allow for the creation of very thin yet durable veneers. The extent of tooth preparation is determined on a case-by-case basis.

What is the teeth whitening process like at Focus Clinic?

We offer two whitening systems. In-office whitening takes about 60 to 90 minutes, uses whitening accelerators, and provides immediate results. At-home whitening involves using custom trays filled with whitening gel for 2 to 3 weeks at home, which provides a more gradual but long-lasting result. Before whitening, we perform a professional cleaning to ensure the gel can act directly on the enamel. We also recommend whitening as a preparatory step before veneers or bonding.

    What is ICON infiltration?

ICON Infiltration is an innovative, minimally invasive method for removing white spots on tooth enamel without grinding the tooth. Indications include hypoplastic white spots (formed during tooth development), stains caused by orthodontic appliances, early-stage caries, and lesions associated with MIH. The procedure involves the penetration of a special resin into the porous enamel to fill the micro-spaces, making the white spot invisible. The treatment is performed in a single visit, is painless, and does not require anesthesia.

    What are Enamel HRi fillings?

Enamel HRi are highly aesthetic composites with exceptional optical properties, similar to those of natural enamel. We use them to replace old, discolored fillings (especially in the anterior region), restore chipped tooth edges, and conceal aesthetic defects. Their advantage over standard composites lies in their precise reproduction of enamel translucency, making the restoration virtually indistinguishable from a natural tooth even at very close range.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

With proper oral hygiene, regular checkups every 6 months, and avoidance of harmful habits (biting on hard objects, bruxism without a mouthguard), porcelain veneers last between 10 and 20 years. Compared to composite bonding (5 to 10 years), they are a more durable solution. In cases of bruxism or parafunction, we recommend using a protective night guard, which protects the veneers from excessive stress.

    Do cosmetic procedures hurt?

Most cosmetic dental procedures are painless. We perform bonding and no-prep veneers without anesthesia, and the ICON infiltration procedure is also painless. We perform minimal-prep veneers, which require minimal tooth preparation, under local anesthesia to ensure the patient feels no discomfort. After teeth whitening, some patients may experience temporary enamel sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours, which resolves on its own.

Will my teeth return to their original color after whitening?

The whitening effect is long-lasting, but not permanent. Over the course of 2 to 5 years, the color of your teeth may gradually darken due to coffee, tea, red wine, cigarettes, and the natural aging process of the enamel. The longevity of the effect can be extended through regular hygiene visits, limiting the consumption of staining foods and beverages, and performing mini-touch-up home whitening treatments using custom trays every 1 to 2 years (the so-called touch-up procedure).

Can I touch up the color of my old fillings?

Yes. Old, discolored fillings (especially in the front teeth) are one of the most common cosmetic concerns. At Focus Clinic, we replace such fillings with modern, highly aesthetic Enamel HRi restorations, which precisely replicate the natural color and translucency of enamel. Replacing fillings in the aesthetic zone is often performed as part of a comprehensive smile makeover, along with whitening the remaining teeth.

What is tooth restoration using a silicone index?

The silicone index is a modern technique for the precise restoration of anterior teeth using composite resin. The procedure begins with the creation of a mock-up of the future smile in the dental office or laboratory, which is used to create a silicone template. We then apply the composite directly to the tooth using this template, which allows us to achieve precise shape and proportions. The method combines the speed of bonding with the precision of planning typical of veneers.

How can you maintain the results of cosmetic treatment?

Maintaining the results of cosmetic dental treatment relies on regular oral hygiene at home (brushing twice a day, flossing, and using a water flosser), follow-up visits every 6 months with professional cleaning, and limiting consumption of staining foods and beverages (coffee, tea, red wine, and cigarettes). Patients with veneers or bonding who suffer from bruxism should also wear a protective night guard to protect their teeth from occlusal overload.

How much does cosmetic treatment cost at Focus Clinic?

The cost of cosmetic treatment depends on the method chosen and the scope of treatment. Bonding a single tooth is the most economical option. Teeth whitening (in-office or at-home) and ICON infiltration are mid-range treatments. Porcelain veneers are a premium option, and their price depends on the number of teeth being treated and the fabrication technology (no-prep, minimal-prep). The consultation and Focus Smile Design project are separate items discussed during the treatment planning stage. You will receive a full quote free of charge after your diagnosis.

Can I pay for cosmetic treatment in installments?

Yes, at Focus Clinic we offer three financing options for treatment: MediRaty, Confinio, and PayDent (deferred payment). For comprehensive smile makeovers (veneers on several teeth or multi-stage treatment), spreading the cost over installments makes the decision much easier. Your Patient Care Coordinator will help you choose a financing option that fits your budget and will schedule payments according to the stages of treatment.
