    Dental implants

When you want to permanently restore missing teeth

    FocusClinic®

If you are missing one, several or all of your teeth, implant treatment is the best solution. It is an effective method that allows missing teeth to be restored, regardless of the extent of tooth loss. Modern implantology is now easily accessible to every patient – both in terms of medical conditions (at Focus Clinic, we treat patients who have been refused help in other practices) and financial options (at Focus Clinic, we offer patients favourable treatment financing conditions).

    Dental implants

What are they and who are they suitable for?

At Focus Clinic, we offer our patients a wide range of orthodontic treatment systems. We can recommend a suitable method for every clinical case and adapt it to the patient’s financial and aesthetic expectations. Orthodontic treatment is suitable for children, teenagers and adults. Our offer also includes modern orthodontic treatment with clear, invisible aligners, which can be removed whenever convenient.

Dental implants are suitable for anyone who is missing one, several or all teeth. At Focus Clinic, we place implants in patients of all ages and in all conditions. Thanks to an individual approach to every patient, in line with our philosophy and proprietary Focus System procedures, we help everyone struggling with impaired dental function and aesthetics.

Dental implants also provide an aesthetic appearance that is difficult to distinguish from natural teeth. In addition, they help prevent jawbone loss, which often accompanies tooth loss and helps preserve the natural shape of the face.

    Personalised implant treatment

Complete implant treatment at Focus Clinic takes just a few steps divided into 3 stages

    STAGE I - BEFORE TREATMENT

The basis of treatment is a thorough examination of the patient to determine the condition and suitability for the procedure.

At Focus Clinic, the examination takes place in our modern radiology laboratory (MyRay CBCT tomography for accurate 3D imaging) and using a specialist intraoral X-ray unit.

This enables precise diagnostics and therefore increases the likelihood of a successful procedure.

A detailed treatment plan is created based on the data collected during diagnostics and the conversation with the patient. We determine an individual treatment path, duration and proposed costs for each patient – all information is included in the FocusComplex document (comprehensive treatment plan) or FocusLista document (basic treatment plan).

An additional convenience offered by Focus Clinic is treatment financing on favourable instalment terms.

    STAGE II - PROCEDURE

If the situation requires it, the patient’s teeth are removed first. The next step is implantation – placing a titanium implant. In favourable conditions, this procedure takes 15 minutes.

At Focus Clinic, for greater comfort, we use computer-assisted anaesthesia systems such as The Wand or Calaject, which are completely painless compared with traditional techniques.

To increase comfort during the procedure, the patient can listen to music thanks to the wireless Bose system.

Due to different patient needs and expectations, Focus Clinic uses as many as 3 different implant systems (Alpha Bio – an economical solution, Straumann – for those expecting a relatively faster treatment time, and Nobel Biocare – used in difficult and demanding cases).

The healing period, when the implant integrates with the bone (so-called osseointegration), lasts approximately 2 to 6 months. During this time, the patient remains under the constant care of Focus Clinic specialists and a patient coordinator, who monitor the healing process on an ongoing basis and answer all questions and concerns.

STAGE III - AFTER THE PROCEDURE

This is the stage of immediate loading, i.e. placing the prosthetic restoration – a crown, bridge or denture – on newly placed implants. Thanks to immediate loading, the patient leaves Focus Clinic with temporary teeth straight away.

After the implant site has fully healed, the patient receives the final restoration, which is matched to the patient’s appearance and preferences. Prosthetic restorations are computer-designed in our PERFECT LAB prosthetic laboratory.

Thanks to advanced technologies and the skills of our doctors and dental technicians, patients receive extremely precise and aesthetic prosthetic restorations.

    FAQ

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about dental implants

What types of dental implants does Focus Clinic offer?

We use three implant systems, selected according to the patient’s medical situation. Neodent is a solution for patients with favorable conditions and for immediate implantation. Straumann (a Swiss brand with the most scientific publications) is used for patients seeking a rapid treatment, whose SLActive surface shortens osseointegration time. Nobel Biocare handles the most complex cases, including the All-on-4® method for edentulous patients. In cases of significant bone loss, we also offer zygomatic implants and custom implants.

    When are dental implants used?

Implants are used for permanent tooth loss, regardless of the number of missing teeth. They are effective for single missing teeth (when we don’t want to grind down adjacent healthy teeth for a bridge), for multiple missing teeth (as support for an implant-supported bridge), and for complete edentulism (All-on-4® and All-on-6® methods). Implants are also chosen by patients who do not want to wear removable dentures.

When is the best time to start dental implant treatment?

It’s best to replace missing teeth as soon as possible after tooth loss. Long-term missing teeth lead to bone resorption, which may require additional augmentation procedures before implant placement. The timing of implant placement is determined after the Focus 360 diagnostics. Sometimes, it’s immediate implant placement after extraction, and sometimes, it’s delayed until the socket has healed.

What does the dental implant procedure involve?

The procedure takes 30 to 60 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. The doctor makes a small incision in the gum, prepares the bone bed, inserts the implant, and closes the wound with sutures. In demanding cases, such as All-on-4® treatment, the procedure is performed under sedation or general anesthesia, with the assistance of an anesthesiologist.

How long does it take for the bone to heal after an implant is placed?

Osseointegration, or the fusion of the implant with the bone, takes 3 to 6 months. In the lower jaw, the process is usually shorter (3 to 4 months) than in the upper jaw (4 to 6 months), because the jaw bone is denser. The healing rate is influenced by general health, oral hygiene, smoking status, and adherence to post-operative instructions.

How long does the entire treatment process take, from the initial consultation to the final crown?

The time from the initial consultation to the placement of the final crown typically ranges from 4 to 9 months. The first 2 to 3 weeks are devoted to diagnosis, treatment planning, and implant placement. Then, we wait 3 to 6 months for osseointegration. In the final 4 to 6 weeks, we fabricate the abutment and prosthetic crown. With immediate loading (e.g., All-on-4®), the time to provisional work is reduced to 24 hours.

What are the post-operative recommendations following implant placement?

For the first 7 to 14 days, you should follow a soft diet, avoid biting the treated area, and avoid saunas, swimming pools, and sunbathing until the swelling subsides. We recommend refraining from strenuous exercise for a few days. Maintain oral hygiene as directed by your doctor, and follow-up visits are scheduled 7, 14, and 30 days after the procedure.

    Are dental implants safe?

Implants are considered a safe and predictable treatment method. Like any surgical procedure, they carry the risk of complications such as infection, damage to the alveolar nerve, or lack of osseointegration. We minimize this risk through thorough 3D tomography diagnostics, selection of an implant system tailored to your specific needs, and strict sterility protocols. In the hands of an experienced implantologist, complications are very rare.

What are the advantages of dental implants?

Implants look and function like natural teeth. They replace missing roots, protecting the jawbone from atrophy and preserving the health of adjacent teeth (no grinding required). They provide bite stability and restore full chewing function. They are durable and require no special care beyond standard oral hygiene and regular checkups.

What are the contraindications for dental implants?

The main contraindications are: uncontrolled systemic diseases (e.g., uncontrolled diabetes, severe osteoporosis, unstable heart disease), active cancer treatment, blood clotting disorders, unresolved inflammation, and advanced caries. Pregnancy and lactation require postponement of the procedure. Insufficient bone density is not a contraindication; it only requires bone regeneration or zygomatic implants. Detailed qualification is performed during a consultation after a 3D tomography scan.

Does bone loss rule out implant treatment?

Bone loss does not preclude implant treatment, though it requires additional diagnostic testing. Depending on the extent of bone loss, we use one of three approaches: augmentation (bone grafting), sinus floor elevation, or zygomatic implants, which anchor into the zygomatic bone and bypass the problem of insufficient jawbone volume. We decide on the method after analyzing 3D tomography.

What are the disadvantages of dental implants?

The three main limitations are: higher cost than a bridge or denture, longer treatment time (4 to 9 months until the final result is achieved), and the need for surgery. Patients with bone loss may require an additional augmentation procedure or a sinus floor elevation. A soft diet is required for 7 to 14 days after the procedure, and strenuous physical activity is prohibited.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper oral hygiene and regular checkups, implants can last 20 to 30 years or longer. A significant number of patients keep their original implants for life. The implant screw itself is covered by a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Longevity depends on good oral hygiene, the absence of trauma, and regular follow-up X-rays.

Can dental implants be covered by the National Health Service?

Dental implants are not covered by the National Health Fund. The patient is responsible for the full cost of treatment. At Focus Clinic, we offer three financing options: MediRaty, Confinio, and PayDent (deferred payment), allowing you to spread the cost of treatment over installments that fit your budget.

How much does a single dental implant cost at Focus Clinic?

The Standard implant procedure costs between 2,500 PLN and 3,500 PLN per implant. The Select option, designed for patients with challenging bone conditions, costs between 3,500 PLN and 4,500 PLN. We add the cost of the prosthetic crown to the implant price (starting at 2,500 PLN for the Standard option and 3,500 PLN for the Select option). An implant consultation costs between 150 PLN and 200 PLN. You will receive a final written quote in your treatment plan following the Focus 360 diagnosis.
