    All-on-6®

If you have good bone health, a strong bite, or bruxism, All-on-6® will provide a higher level of stability than a standard four-implant solution. At Focus Clinic, we perform full-arch reconstructions on six implants, with temporary restorations on the day of surgery and final restorations from Perfect Lab.

    All-on-6® – 6-Implant Prosthesis

All-on-6® is a full-arch prosthesis protocol in which a fixed prosthesis covering the entire maxillary or mandibular arch is supported by six implants placed at strategic bone points. Two additional anchors (compared to the classic four-implant protocol) change the way the structure distributes chewing forces. This means a much more even load distribution along the entire arch, greater mechanical stability, and less stress on each individual implant.

From the patient’s perspective, this translates into three clear benefits. First, a longer dental arch (All-on-6 allows for safe extension of the posterior segment by one to two teeth in each direction, improving chewing efficiency). Second, the structure performs better under high occlusal loads, especially in patients with bruxism, a strongly muscled bite, or parafunctional habits. Third, a higher long-term biomechanical reserve means a reduced risk of micromovement, abutment loosening, and complications after many years of use.

All-on-6® at Focus Clinic is designed for completely edentulous patients who have sufficient bone to place six implants without the need for extensive augmentation, as well as for patients who prioritize maximum durability and stability. We conduct the entire treatment within our proprietary Focus System protocol, with a dedicated Patient Caregiver. We use three implant systems (Neodent, Straumann, Nobel Biocare), which we select based on the patient’s medical situation. The final prosthetic work is performed in our Perfect Lab laboratory, maintaining direct collaboration between the surgeon, prosthetist, and technician within a single organization.

    All-on-6® – A Comprehensive Solution

All-on-6® treatment begins with a complete Focus 360 diagnostic, a key element of which is a 3D computed tomography (CT). This allows us to assess the amount and density of bone in both sections of the arch, the position of the maxillary sinuses, and the course of the alveolar nerve, and to precisely plan the position and angle of insertion of each of the six implants. Based on this data, we confirm whether you are a candidate for All-on-6 or whether All-on-4 treatment would be more appropriate in your situation.

The 6-implant procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist’s assistance, depending on the scope of the procedure and the patient’s preferences. The entire procedure typically takes 2 to 3 hours. We utilize an immediate loading protocol, which means that the prosthetic team attaches a temporary full-arch restoration to the implants on the same day. You leave the clinic with teeth that restore chewing function, natural speech, and an aesthetic smile, which is especially important for patients with long-term edentulism.

The temporary prosthetic device serves for the osseointegration period, which lasts 4 to 6 months. The jawbone is denser and usually heals faster than the jawbone, so healing time depends on the implant location. During this period, the patient functions normally, eats, and speaks, and dietary modifications are limited to the first 2 weeks after the procedure. Follow-up visits are held at 3, 7, 14, and 30-day intervals.

After osseointegration is complete, we take digital impressions and design the final full-arch restoration in our Perfect Lab using CAD/CAM technology. The final design is based on a metal core covered with veneering material. At Focus Clinic, we offer three material options for final restorations: acrylic (a basic solution with excellent aesthetics and comfort), ceramic-metal (higher durability and color stability), and high-aesthetic porcelain (highest-class aesthetics and a natural appearance).

Direct collaboration between the surgeon, prosthetic technician, and technician within a single organization allows for precise control of every stage of the restoration’s creation and rapid corrections to the color, shape, and position of the teeth. A dedicated Patient Advisor oversees the logistics of the entire process, including appointment scheduling and treatment financing options (MediRaty, Confinio, PayDent).

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about treatment at Focus Clinic, your first visit, available services, and the course of dental care.

    Who is All-on-6® for?

This method is designed for patients with complete edentulism in the upper or lower jaw, who have sufficient bone to accommodate six implants without extensive augmentation. We particularly recommend All-on-6 for patients with bruxism or a strongly muscled bite, those prioritizing maximum durability, and those for whom the highest level of long-term structural stability is crucial.

What is the difference between All-on-6® and All-on-4®?

The main difference is the number of implants supporting the full-arch restoration: six in the All-on-6® and four in the All-on-4®. The two additional anchors in the All-on-6 provide a more even distribution of chewing forces, safely extend the posterior section of the restoration, increase the resistance of the structure to high occlusal loads (bruxism), and provide greater long-term biomechanical reserve. The All-on-4 is a sufficient solution for most patients, even those with moderate bone loss, while the All-on-6 is a suitable option for those who prioritize stability and durability.

When should you choose All-on-6® over All-on-4®?

The choice between All-on-6 and All-on-4 is made individually after 3D tomography analysis, but there are three typical situations in which All-on-6 is preferable: first, the presence of bruxism or parafunctional habits that generate high bite forces; second, good bone conditions (sufficient bone quantity and density for six implants without augmentation); and third, the patient’s expectation of maximum stability and extended posterior extension of the prosthetic work.

Does All-on-6® require better bone quality than All-on-4®?

Yes, we generally use All-on-6 in patients with sufficient bone density and strength to safely place six implants without extensive augmentation. In cases of moderate bone loss, we often choose All-on-4, which, thanks to the angled placement of the posterior implants, better manages the limited bone volume in the posterior region. Therefore, the decision to choose this option is always made after 3D tomography analysis.

Will I receive my teeth on the day of the procedure?

Yes, at All-on-6®, we use an immediate loading protocol. After placing six implants, the prosthetic team attaches a temporary full-arch restoration to them the same day, so you leave the clinic with a full arch of teeth. The temporary restoration restores chewing function, clear speech, and the aesthetics of your smile from the first hour after the procedure. Once osseointegration is complete, we replace it with the final full-arch restoration, prepared at the Perfect Lab.

Does All-on-6® eliminate the need for bone grafting?

In most cases, yes, provided the patient has sufficient bone. Thanks to the strategic placement of six implants, including posterior implants placed at an angle, this method allows for bypassing the maxillary sinuses and areas of lower bone density without additional augmentation procedures. In situations of limited bone loss that prevent the placement of six implants without augmentation, we consider alternative solutions (All-on-4, zygomatic implants, or custom implants).

    Is All-on-6® better for bruxism?

Yes, patients with bruxism (teeth grinding) or a severely muscled bite are one of the key groups for whom the All-on-6 is a better choice than the All-on-4. A larger number of implants allows for a more even distribution of high chewing forces, reduces the load on each individual anchor, and reduces the risk of long-term mechanical complications. We also recommend using a night guard for patients with bruxism, which protects the prosthetic device from the effects of parafunction.

What are the recommendations after the All-on-6® treatment?

After the procedure, you will receive a package of recommendations, a prescription for painkillers and an antibiotic, and follow-up appointments at 3, 7, 14, and 30-day intervals. For the first two weeks, you must follow a soft diet (soups, purées, eggs, fish, cooked vegetables), avoid chewing hard foods, avoid intense physical activity, and refrain from saunas, swimming pools, and sunbathing. You will maintain oral hygiene as instructed by your doctor, and your Patient Care Assistant will remain in contact with you throughout your recovery.

    Is the All-on-6® treatment safe?

Yes, with proper qualification and execution, this method is safe and predictable. Safety is ensured by precise 3D tomography diagnostics, digital positioning of each of the six implants, the use of surgical templates, and the experience of the surgical team. We also maintain rigorous sterility protocols and administer perioperative antibiotic therapy. As with any surgical procedure, complications can occur, but in the hands of an experienced implantologist, they are rare.

How much does All-on-6® treatment cost at Focus Clinic?

The cost of All-on-6® treatment consists of two stages. The surgical stage, including temporary restoration, costs from PLN 35,000. The prosthetic stage, including the final restoration, depends on the selected material and ranges from PLN 30,000 (acrylic restoration), PLN 39,000 (ceramic-metal restoration), and PLN 43,000 (highly aesthetic porcelain restoration). An implant consultation costs from PLN 150 to 200, and you receive a detailed treatment plan free of charge after the Focus 360 diagnosis.

Can I pay for All-on-6® in installments?

Yes, at Focus Clinic, we offer three forms of treatment financing: MediRaty, Confinio, and PayDent (deferred payment). All-on-6® treatment is a long-term investment, so paying in installments is often crucial when deciding to begin treatment. Your Patient Advisor will help you choose the optimal financing option and plan a payment schedule according to the stages of treatment (separately for the surgical phase and the prosthetic phase).
